Michael Zarl’s visit at Oulu packed with topical subjects

Our coordinator Henri Pauna was more than pleased to host WP3 leader Michael Andreas Zarl from K1-MET GmbH during his visit to University of Oulu last week!

The visit was packed with topical subjects: PhD defense traditions in Finland, lab-scale EAF melting trial, overview of K1-MET’s planned revamp for the pilot-HPSR reactor, and a two-part lecture for the master’s students about HPSR from Michael Zarl and Henri Pauna.

We also had the chance to get a glimpse on the recent progress of our H2PlasmaRed’s PhD researchers Laura Jussila, Henna-Riikka Putaala, and Areej Javed. Stay tuned for their new publications in the beginning of 2026!
