Meet the team: Ville-Valtteri Visuri (University of Oulu)

The H2PlasmaRed project introduces Ville-Valtteri Visuri (University of Oulu), part of our team with the role of doctoral thesis supervisor and a member of the General Assembly.

In H2PlasmaRed, Ville-Valtteri supervises Areej Javed’s doctoral thesis on modelling of the hydrogen plasma smelting reduction (HPSR) and co-supervises Henna-Riikka Putaala’s thesis on OES monitoring of hydrogen plasma.

Ville-Valtteri is an Associate Professor and leads a team on primary metallurgy of steelmaking, focusing on electric arc furnaces, converters and hydrogen plasma smelting reduction.
