Meet the team: Michael Zarl (K1-MET GmbH)

The H2PlasmaRed project introduces Michael Zarl (K1-MET GmbH), part of our team with the role of Workpackage Lead (WP3).

Michael will ensure that the scale-up trials at the HPSR facilities of K1-MET at the site in Donawitz will run smoothly.

Michael is a passionate metallurgist with more than 7 years of experience it the field of plasma assisted steelmaking. He is in the position of Team Lead at K1-MET and oversees the scale-up process of the HPSR facilities towards a fully integrated (semi-continuous) operation of up to 200kg of processed iron ore or iron bearing residues per hour.
