Meet the team: Ekinsu Akdoğan (KU Leuven)

The H2PlasmaRed project introduces Ekinsu Akdoğan (KU Leuven), part of our team with the role of PhD researcher (WP5).

Ekinsu is contributing to H2PlasmaRed by identifying the environmental hotspots in the current production capacity of HPSR. She also conducts techno-economic and environmental analyses to assess the future potential of HPSR in Europe. Her work includes evaluating future scenarios and technological developments across the HPSR value chain.

Beyond her academic background in metallurgical and materials engineering/science, Ekinsu has a longstanding personal interest in sustainability. She is passionate about contributing to the green transition by applying transdisciplinary insights to address complex environmental challenges.
